Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan Visits and Works with the Embassy of Vietnam in the Republic of Korea
(gialai.gov.vn) - As part of the 2026 Gia Lai Province Tourism Promotion Program in the Republic of Korea, on the morning of June 11 in Seoul, a working delegation from Gia Lai Province, led by Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, paid a visit and held a working session with the Embassy of Vietnam in the Republic of Korea.
Accompanying the delegation were Ms. Nguyen Thi Phong Vu, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilization, along with leaders of several provincial departments, agencies, and enterprises.
Receiving and working with the delegation was Mr. Vu Ho, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Korea.

Overview of the working session
At the working session, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan stated that Gia Lai Province’s visit to the Republic of Korea aims to promote the province’s potential and advantages, while also introducing its future development orientation in key sectors such as renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, processing industries, logistics, the entertainment industry, ecotourism, resort tourism, and coastal tourism.
The Chairman emphasized that Gia Lai now possesses the combined advantages of both the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands regions. With an increasingly well-developed transportation infrastructure system—including an airport, seaport, and highly connected expressways—together with the second-largest natural area in Vietnam, the province has significant room for strong growth in the years ahead.
According to the Chairman, the Republic of Korea has consistently been one of Vietnam’s most important partners, as well as a key partner of Gia Lai Province, in such fields as investment, trade, tourism, industry, services, and people-to-people exchanges. During this working visit, the Gia Lai delegation is scheduled to meet and work with a number of major Korean organizations and enterprises, including KBIZ, HanaTour, and Blooming Sky. The delegation will also organize the Gia Lai Investment Promotion Forum to introduce the province’s potential, strengths, and investment environment to Korean partners.

In the immediate future, the Chairman proposed that the Embassy support research into the feasibility of operating a charter flight route between Seoul and Quy Nhon in the third quarter of 2026, thereby creating favorable conditions for attracting Korean tourists to Gia Lai. On behalf of the province, Chairman Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that Gia Lai would always accompany and provide the most favorable conditions for Korean enterprises seeking to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in the province.
